Will a bad ignition switch, prevent power from going to the radio? 2000 Chevy Astro?
I noticed power was still going to the accessories, after the key was removed, such as the 12 volt receptacles.
Power should go to the radio only in the on or acc position. If you had constant power ans left your radio on for an extended period of time, it would run tour battery down. And if you leave something plugged into the 12 volt receptacles it will do the same.
Has to do with ampere hours, You can listen to radio if you turn the switch backwards to the acc position.
