Bed frame is an essential element of bed

In general, a bed is used for great comfort and relaxation while sleeping on it. Bed frames provides great stability for the complete bed-rest. Therefore, while purchasing a new bed frame with existing headboard, the adjustability of the headboard with the said frame should be verified.

The beds which are available with memory foam type rarely feature box spring or a foundation, and these varieties of beds are best suitable for platform variety of frames. With this variety of bed frames the storage of an exiting bed hardly gets hampered because these types of frames are quite supportive on all the sides along with its complete length and these frames add up bonus height to the position of the bed.

Choosing a crib: do you really need one with a side that lowers?

We are expecting our first baby, May 1, and we are choosing a crib. We have seen several models that convert to a toddler bed and then a full-size adult bed with headboard and footboard.

The drawback is that these convertible cribs do not have a "drop" side. In other words, the side of the drib does not move and cannot be raised or lowered to take the baby in and out. The saleswoman didn't think this was a problem, but I have no idea? There are three matress settings so the matress height on the crib is adjustable.

I like the idea of the convertible crib. Will it be hard to take baby in and out? what do you think?

PS we plan on using a basinette for the first three months anyway.

If i was answering this question 6 months ago, I would say that it doesn't really matter if the side drops. I am pretty short (5'2") and up until recently, had no problems not lowering the sides. HOWEVER, I am now 5 months pregnant, and my daughter is 19 months old. I have to lower the sides (my crib happens to have the feature) in order to put my daughter in the crib without hurting my belly. That is the only reason I can think of why it would matter. A suggestion: take a baby doll (or purse, or pillow) with you when you check out the cribs and try lowering it into the crib when the matress is all the way down, so you can see how it suits you!
